ReShade is a really handy little application that allows you to apply a border (and other things!) over a game.

This is especially usefull for Sinden owners when you are trying to apply a border to a Fullscreen Exclusive game that will not allow you to overlay the border.

Setup Guide

First of all you need to download reshade from the below above.

It does not require any extraction or installation and will just run from the download location.


Next you need to apply reshade to the game file of your choosing, Different games require it to be applied to different files and using different API's.

Below is a list of many common ones games.


To apply reshade to your chosen file load up reshade by double clicking the reshade app.

You will get a pop up with a button that says "click here to select a game and manage its reshade installation", Click that button.

Next you will get a file browser pop up, Select the file you are applying reshade to from the list or press browse and navigate to it if you cant see it.

Once you have selected the file press the "Use selected application" button.

Now reshade will ask which API to use, again this will vary by the game. Select the correct API and it will jump to the next screen.

On the Effects Packages page Select "Standard Effects" and "SweetFX by Ceejay" packs then press "Ok"

It will now ask you which standard effects you want to install, you can install all or none its your choice, once done press "Ok"

Now it will ask which of the Sweet FX effects you want to install, again they are all optional EXCEPT the "Border.fx" pack this MUST be selected.

Once done press "Ok" to finish the installation.

You can now exit the reshade setup program.


Now you need to load the Game you have just applied reshade to.

When you load it you should see a reshade marquee across the top of the screen with a message.

Now you need to press the "Home" key on your keyboard to load the reshade menu.


Once the menu pops up press the "Continue" Button, Then press it again to get to the main setup screen.

You should now see a list of the packs you have chosen to install, Select the "Border.fx" pack by enabling the tick in the box next to it.

Press the "Continue" button again.


You will now see some settings at the bottom of the screen.

Click the little black square next to "Border Colour" and change it to white.

Next change the border size to your desired size by clicking the little arrow buttons next to where it says "Size"

Once you are happy click the "Finish" button.

The press the "Home" key to close the reshade menu.


If you ever need to adjust the settings just press Home and adjust to suit.
